MOTIVATION WORKSHOP

Secrets of Motivation Workshop

Why Willpower Isn't the Answer–and What Actually Drives Change

Workshop Details
Date: Wednesday, February 4, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM PST
Cost: $150 per participant

Most conversations about motivation focus on discipline, habits, or willpower—often leaving people feeling subtly at war with themselves when those strategies don’t work.

In this one-hour workshop, Secrets of Motivation, we’ll explore a different lens: motivation as a physiological and neurological process, not a character trait or moral virtue. Rather than pushing ourselves harder, we’ll look at how the body and brain are designed to move us toward what we need to survive, belong, and stay regulated—and how misunderstanding this system often creates unnecessary inner conflict.

This session is not a neuroscience lecture, nor is it a collection of productivity tactics. Instead, it offers a clear, accessible framework for understanding why motivation naturally rises in some contexts and disappears in others—and how awareness alone can begin to shift long-standing patterns. The hour will be a blend of conceptual overview, guided reflection, and thoughtful discussion, allowing insights to emerge through shared sense-making.

You’ll walk away with:

A clearer understanding of how motivation actually works. You’ll explore the basic structure behind motivation–how survival needs, emotions, and neurochemical signals influence energy and action.
Relief from the inner struggle with willpower. By seeing motivation as a bodily system rather than a personal failing, many people experience a softening of self-judgement and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Insight into your own motivation patterns. Through reflection and discussion, you’ll notice when motivation flows naturally for you, when it doesn’t, and what those differences may be pointing towards.
A more grounded way to work with yourself. Rather than forcing behavior change, you’ll leave with a steadier orientation toward aligning with how your system already works.

Motivation isn’t something we manufacture–it’s something we understand. This workshop offers a calm, intelligent exploration of the forces already shaping your energy and choices, helping you move forward with less friction and more trust in your own internal signals.
