Many of the things we most want to do consistently—moving our bodies, tending to relationships, staying on top of meaningful work—don’t fail because they’re unimportant. They fail because they quietly demand more energy than we have available.
In this one-hour workshop, Microhabits & Routines, we’ll explore how small, well-designed habits and routines reduce effort over time by working with the brain rather than against it. Instead of focusing on discipline or motivation, we’ll look at how repeated, low-friction actions gradually form pathways that make everyday tasks feel easier, more automatic, and less draining.

The session will begin with guided reflection to help you identify areas of your life where things currently take more effort than they should—whether it’s something you can’t seem to do consistently, or something you already do but that leaves you feeling depleted. From there, we’ll explore how micro-habits and simple routines can shift those patterns by conserving energy rather than consuming it.
Using an accessible metaphor for how neural pathways form over time, we’ll look at why repetition matters more than intensity—and how “making a path” a little at a time is what ultimately creates steadiness and ease. The hour will be conversational and reflective, with space to explore insights together and apply them thoughtfully to your own life.
What You’ll Take Away
► Clarity about where effort is leaking in your daily life. You’ll identify specific areas where tasks or activities take more energy than they need to, making them harder to sustain.
► A practical understanding of how habits reduce effort over time. You’ll explore how repeated, small actions gradually become easier and more automatic as pathways are formed.
► A new way to think about consistency. Rather than relying on motivation or willpower, you’ll see how designing for low effort makes consistency more natural and sustainable.
► A grounded starting point for building supportive routines. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of where small, intentional shifts could create more ease and free up energy for what matters most.
Consistency doesn’t come from trying harder—it comes from making the path easier to walk. This workshop offers a thoughtful, realistic approach to building habits and routines that support you over time, helping daily life feel lighter, steadier, and more sustainable.
